Our Philosophies and Beliefs

We believe each child is capable, curious, and full of potential — a co-author of their own learning.

The child as a protagonist of their own life

Children lead the way. We follow their questions, wonder, and rhythm — trusting them as capable thinkers.

Our natural environment is our teacher

Natural light, wood, plants and open-ended materials invite exploration and calm focus.

The hundred languages

The hundred languages refer to the hundred (or so) ways that children learn to think, express their ideas and emotions, and interpret the world around them. This includes, but is not limited to: the arts, building, play, storytelling, music, dance, imagining, and of course — learning languages!

Learning through interrelated connections

The educator, parents or caregivers, and the child grow through positive and engaging reactions, quiet observations, and shared discoveries. This is how the child's learning and overall understanding of the world around them will improve via shared interactions and common goals.

Vygotsky's zone of proximal development

We meet each child just beyond what they can do alone — offering the gentle scaffolding, language and warm presence that turns 'not yet' into 'I can'.

Piaget's early cognitive stages

From the sensorimotor stage (0–2), where little ones learn through touch, movement and cause-and-effect, to the pre-operational stage (2–5), rich in symbolic play, imagination and early language — activities are chosen to fit how the young mind actually grows.
